Californios Press takes its name from the Spanish word for the historical residents of California. We are dedicated to publishing new writing imbued with verve, craft, and mythos. From 2012 – 2014, Californios published Californios: A Review from the Ends of the Earth, a digital literary review. Californios currently publishes the Californios Chapbook series, an ongoing series of elegant, handmade chapbooks by emerging writers.
The founding editors of Californios Review were Timothy E. G. Bartel and Jonathan Diaz. The current editor of Californios is Timothy E. G. Bartel.
